Week 78 Romania, Fortress, President of Serbia

Today we went to the Golubac Fortress! It was beautiful! We got to see the Romanian border! Also while we were there we saw the President of Serbia - Vučić! 

We met a cool guy on FB. Someone was commenting mean stuff, and this guy commented under it so we reached out to the nice guy and we set up a video chat! Here are a few quotes from that lesson:

"I've never talked with real live Mormons! This is a dream come true!"

"if I ever get reincarnated, I would be a jew or a Mormon"

"there are Mormons in Belgrade?!"

Life is good in Serbia! The Book of Mormon is powerful. Christ is powerful. He lives!

Week 77 We went Fishing

We went a fishin'. It was the BEST. We went with Tasa (member here in BG) I caught nothing but sticks and lost so many hooks.. But I had fun and lots of laughs and sunburns (: This week we've met some cool people over Facebook and are meeting up with a few in person! We met up with the great family we are teaching in person! So great!! Also, lots of protests have been happening in Belgrade.. So we stay away from those, but it's okay because most days we are inside all day anyway. We met the new mission president over zoom! Great zone conference! He speaks the language woot woot! Also church is canceled again because of Serbian laws.. This week I drove a brand new car off the lot... And signed for it😂 That's what happens when there are no senior couples left.. It had 24 km on it.. I love GRACE. The power we receive from Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I have received so much power to go another week, another day, and sometimes another hour during the last 18 months of my life. We need to keep pressing forward. When thinking about the pioneers, we ask how did they do it? I love this quote! "the task ahead of them was never as great as the power behind them" Insert yourself in there. I know that the power behind you is always greater than the tasks ahead of us. God is with you. Week 76 I Love My District :)

Our District is great (: Lots of laughs! We played lots of sports this week with members and friends!

And now we are all sunburnt..

And happy (: very happy 

We had a 4th of July BBQ️

We get to meet the new mission President tomorrow over zoom! Yahoo. 

I'm so grateful for this time as a missionary!!! I am surrounded by so many amazing people. This Sunday at church I felt an overwhelming love for the members and people here in Serbia. I can't describe the feeling.. They are all so strong and love the Lord. They are amazing examples to those around them. I look at them and wonder how they do it. And you know how they do it? They do it because it's true.

I know God lives! I know Jesus Christ is our brother and our friend ️
